Our Story
Boudoir Nail Bar started with a feeling I couldn’t ignore.
For years, I found myself leaving nail salons disappointed—not just with my nails, but with the overall experience. I knew there had to be a better way. I wanted to create a space where people could truly relax, feel understood, and know their time and money were genuinely valued.
With the support of my husband, James, we decided to turn that vision into something real.
In 2014, with our two-year-old, Nico, at home and while eight months pregnant with our second child, Eli, we took a leap of faith. We walked away from our corporate careers, put everything on the line, borrowed what we could, and signed the lease—believing in a dream that didn’t yet exist.
We had no experience building a salon or running a business, but we had determination. Together, we learned everything from the ground up—side by side, long days and even longer nights—like building something brick by brick, fueled by passion, faith, and a refusal to give up.
Over time, Boudoir Nail Bar became more than I ever imagined. It became a place where luxury meets comfort, where communication is effortless, and where every detail matters. What started as a personal vision has helped reshape the nail salon experience in San Diego.
In 2026, we felt it was time to grow again. We reinvested in Boudoir, giving it a full glow-up so we could continue raising the standard and creating an even more elevated experience for our clients.
Today, Boudoir Nail Bar is one of San Diego’s most loved and trusted nail destinations—and that’s all because of the incredible staff and nail artists who have placed a tremendous amount of passion and feedback to help keep us elevating and to our countless clients who continue to support us and bring such amazing energy into our space.
